HP CoolSense is a utility for select HP laptops that helps keep the notebook’s surface more comfortable during use. It uses built-in motion and temperature sensors to detect how and where the device is being used (for example, on a desk or on your lap) and automatically adjusts cooling behavior and system performance to manage heat and fan activity. The tool offers a simple on/off control—some versions also provide preferences that favor cooler operation or quieter performance. Feature availability varies by model and operating system, and newer HP devices may include similar thermal controls through other HP software or firmware. Enabling CoolSense can improve comfort but may slightly affect performance, fan noise, or battery life depending on conditions.
HP CoolSense is developed by Hewlett-Packard and is used by 3,908 users of Software Informer. The most popular versions of this product among our users are: 2.2, 2.10 and 2.20. The names of program executable files are hpqSSupply.exe, WizLocaleLink.exe, hpwucli.exe, HPWA_Main.exe and HPTLBXFX.exe.
